Hi, I'm Brennen!
I don't just own cameras—I take them on adventures!
Sometimes those adventures lead us deep into the woods searching for wildlife. Other times, they take us to weddings, graduation celebrations, birthday parties, front porches, or family reunions. No matter where we go, we're there to tell a story.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was classically trained by my mother, Molly, whose passion, talent, and love for photography taught me that it's about so much more than taking beautiful pictures—it's about preserving the moments that families will treasure for generations.
Photography truly runs in my family. My sister is an extraordinary nature photographer and educator, and whenever I can find time to adventure with her, I know I'm in for a day of learning, laughter, and discovering subjects we never expected to find. Her talent behind the camera and her gift for teaching inspire me every time we head into nature. My son has also picked up a camera and is developing an amazing style that's completely his own. Knowing photography is continuing through the next generation is one of my greatest joys.
While nature photography feeds my soul, photographing people fills my heart. My grandson, who is on the autism spectrum, has taught me that the best photographs happen when people are free to be themselves. Around here, we call our sessions "The Fast and the Furious". His mom says, "His best shots are in motion." Whether your child is energetic, shy, silly, or wonderfully unique, I'll meet them where they are and make the experience feel more like play than posing.
Every adventure, every lesson, and every person who has shared this journey with me has shaped the photographer I am today. Through years behind the lens—and with a family who loves photography—I've become a classic portrait and event photographer with a twist. My editing style isn't one-size-fits-all because no two people, families, or stories are the same. Every session is its own adventure, and every image is created to reflect the personality, connection, and story of the people in front of my camera.
If you ask me what my favorite photograph is, it's usually the next one I haven't taken yet.
So... where should my cameras and I adventure next?
I'd love for it to be with you.
